The journal Umění/Art issued by the Institute of Art History of the CAS has undergone a number of transformations during the period of its existence, which however still headed towards the vision to create the journal as a periodical presenting current art-historical problems and questions and allowing the confrontation of domestic and foreign research in the area.
Currently, Umění/Art is a leading periodical in the field included in prestigious international databases, such as WOS, Scopus, EBSCO or ERIH. It comes out six times a year, partially in foreign languages, and publishes the material and theoretical-methodological articles of domestic and foreign authors.
