by the project director, PhDr. Jiří Roháček, CSc., at a seminar on "The management of photographic collections", which was held on 22 April 2010. The programme included discussion on current issues relating to the care of photographic collections in the Czech Republic. The main goal of the project is to create a technical solution for the preservation of a valuable collection of photographs (a selection of 22,000 items) held in the Institute. The outcome of the project will be the publication of research results and a publicly accessible collection database in December 2010.
