SIAL. Liberec Association of Engineers and Architects, 1958-1990: Czech architecture against the stream

An English version of a publication dealing with the SIAL architects’ studio has been prepared by a group of researchers headed by Professor Rostislav Švácha from the Institute of Art History, Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic.

The book Sial. Liberec Association of Engineers and Architects, 1958-1960: Czech architecture against the stream is a re-worked version of the original Czech publication Sial, which was published under the direction of Rostislav Švácha in 2010 to accompany an exhibition devoted to the activity of this prominent architects’ studio in Liberec.

Although the English publication retains the same structure and division into chapters as the original Czech version, it has been adapted to take into account the context of readers from other countries. The text is accompanied by a wide range of illustrative material.
