The activities undertaken by the holder of the post will consist of research in the field of Rudolphine art with the focus on the image collection of Rudolf II: investigation of the inventories, organisation of the collection, provenience of the artworks, genre analysis and represented authors, all in a wider geographical and historical context. At the same time, the holder will publish results of his research.
