The library of Ferdinand of Tirol, who was a governor in the kingdom of Bohemia in the years 1547–63, most likely came into existence in Prague Castle. The project entails a detailed interdisciplinary investigation of the archival documents. It includes a complete transcription of the text, an evaluation of thematic areas, and an attempt to rank this unique collection within a wider Central European context.
